In the compositions of “Tecnomorfosi I” the author reflects on the perception of time within the sound continuum. The composition is an eclectic dialectic between sounds obtained by fragmenting and transforming the open and closed English masculine vowel “a” and numerous sound objects made from just five sounds sampled in a hotel room during the author’s stay at INA/GRM (Groupe des Recherches Musicales) in Paris. The composition is inspired by transformation, a theme so important in our contemporary societies, where technologies are increasingly present everywhere. The hypnotic character can be seen through numerous meanings. “For me, voice is a static material that violently expands and dissipates to new receptors”. The voice changes, transforms, no longer belongs to man, becomes an abstraction: in a sense, it tries to escape a kind of programmatic life alienation that sometimes leads us to feel that we do not belong anywhere and have lost our identity.
